Deplorations

It is with much sadness and gratitude that I return to this site after almost two year's time. While there are many reasons for which I have not written, and still more reasons why I should have, the loss of my beloved teacher has given me a renewed sense of responsibility, purpose, and inspiration. For thirteen years, I was lucky enough to have her as my guiding light in music and dear friend in life. The nobility of her playing was matched by her elegant presence, and the depth of her sound equaled by the strength of her will. With this first post, I'll let the music speak for itself without too much commentary. To me, God smiled down on Beethoven in the creation of this movement, and Beethoven seemed to smile on Annie in this performance.
